Does Berkshire Hathaway own Snowflake shares?

However, as of June 30, Berkshire no longer owns Snowflake shares, as it sold them in the second quarter. I think Berkshire exited its position in Snowflake at potentially the worst possible time. But for Buffett & Co., it may have been a good move. Warren Buffett isn't the only investor with sway at Berkshire Hathaway.

Did Berkshire invest in Snowflake?

When Berkshire first bought Apple shares, it was still growing but was also dirt cheap. But it would seem the crew over at Berkshire has lost faith in Snowflake. Berkshire bought Snowflake stock at a pre-IPO price of $120 per share, which was a fantastic deal since the stock began trading at around $245 that day.

Is Berkshire Hathaway outperforming the S&P 500?

Berkshire Hathaway has comfortably outperformed the S&P 500 over Warren Buffett's 59-year tenure as CEO. Buffett has aggressively sold stock throughout 2024, with Snowflake exiting Berkshire's portfolio entirely. Snowflake shares have jumped since Berkshire sold out, but I think Buffett actually made the right decision.
